What Billine doesn't do (yet)

The things people look for that Billine 1.0 doesn't have, or only has on some devices.

Better to know now than to go looking.

Not in Billine

  • Priorities. There are none, on purpose. What matters today goes above the fold.
  • @ in capture. It does nothing yet; it’s kept for places.
  • Shared lists. Billine is for your own tasks. Sharing a project with someone is planned for later.
  • Attachments in exports. No export includes attached files, not even the JSON backup. Keep important files elsewhere too.
  • A setting for light or dark. Billine follows your device’s appearance.

Only on some devices

  • Reminders at a place ring on iPhone and iPad, not on the Mac.
  • Lock Screen widgets are on iPhone.
  • Capture from any app (⌃⌥Space) and the menu bar are on the Mac.
  • Offer codes are redeemed on iPhone and iPad.

Works differently than you might expect

  • The capture language is picked once, the first time you open Billine, from your device’s language (English or Spanish, and English for any other). It doesn’t follow a later change to your device’s language; change it in Settings › Capture.
  • Calendar meetings come off today’s capacity, not off the days in Upcoming.
  • The ⌃⌥Space shortcut can’t be changed yet.
  • Siri asks for the task in a second step: you can’t say it in the same breath as “Add a task in Billine”.
  • Repeats from other apps that Billine can’t follow, like “the second Tuesday” in Reminders or any repeat in Things, come in as a note asking you to set the repeat again.
  • Todoist backups don’t include completed tasks.
