Make one
- Type
/and a name while capturing:/kitchen-remodel. If the project doesn’t exist yet, Billine makes it. - Or choose New project…: in Browse on iPhone, or with + beside an area’s name in the sidebar on iPad and Mac.
A project has a name, a colour, a symbol and, if you like, an area such as Work or Home.
A project’s page
At the top: its symbol, area, name, notes, how far along it is, and how many tasks are open and done. Below, its tasks in three groups:
- Today: the ones on today.
- Scheduled: the ones with a date ahead.
- Anytime: the rest, in the order you drag them into.
The page has its own capture field at the top, and the New task sheet opened from a project files into it.
Move a task into a project
Open the task and choose the project under Filed under, or New project… to make one there. On iPad and Mac, select several and use Move.
When it’s done
From the project’s ⋯ menu (or by touching and holding it in the list):
- Complete project. If tasks are still open, Billine asks whether to complete its open tasks too or move them to the Inbox.
- Archive project. Its open tasks go to the Graveyard. Restoring the project from the Archive brings exactly those back.
- Edit project and Move to area are there too.
Order
On iPad and Mac, drag projects in the sidebar to reorder them; dropping one on a project in another area moves it there. On iPhone, reorder in Browse, and swipe a project to archive or complete it.
