Labels

Projects say what a task belongs to; labels say what kind of work it is. A task can have as many as you like.

Add one

• Type # and a name while capturing: call the bank #phone.
• Or open the task, tap Labels, and type in Search or create. Pick a label, or tap Create #name for a new one.

Labels are kept in lowercase, without the #.

A label’s page

Each label has a page with its open tasks, in the order you drag them into: on iPhone in Browse, on iPad and Mac under Labels in the sidebar. What now? can also show only one label’s tasks.

Change it

From the label’s menu: Rename, colour, and Archive label.

Renaming a label to a name another label already has merges the two. If that wasn’t what you meant, Undo splits them again.
