- Open the task.
- Under Subtasks, tap Add a subtask and type the step. Press Return and the field stays open for the next one.
- Tick each one off as you go. The heading shows how many are done, like
1/3, and so does the task’s row.
Subtask lines are read like capture lines, so ~15m or #phone in a step work.
Rename a subtask by tapping its text. To remove one, swipe it or touch and hold it, and choose Delete.
One level
Subtasks are steps, not tasks of their own: they don’t go on Today, into projects, or have subtasks themselves. If a step needs its own day or estimate on the track, make it a task, or turn the whole thing into a project.
Deleting a task deletes its subtasks with it.
