Terms of Use

Plain terms, briefly.

What you agree to when you use Billine, and how Billine Pro subscriptions work.

The agreement

These terms are between you and Saul Alejandro Martínez Castelo, Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico ("we", "us"), the publisher of Billine. They cover the Billine app for iPhone, iPad and Mac, Billine Pro, and billine.io. By using any of them you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Using the app

Billine is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA), which applies together with these terms. If the two disagree, the Standard EULA governs your license to the app.

Billine Pro

Billine is free. Billine Pro is an optional, auto-renewing subscription that adds iCloud sync between your devices and export in PDF, HTML, Markdown, TaskPaper and iCalendar.

  • Plans. Monthly (US$5.99) or yearly (US$59.99) in the United States. The App Store sets the price in your country and shows it before you buy.
  • Free trial. New subscribers get 14 days free. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you're charged.
  • Payment. Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the trial ends.
  • Renewal. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal is charged within the 24 hours before it.
  • Cancelling. In Billine, go to Settings › Billine Pro › Manage subscription, or use your App Store subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Refunds. Apple handles refunds under its own policies. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Price changes. If the price changes, Apple tells you in advance and, where the law requires, asks for your consent before you're charged the new price.

If Pro ends

Your tasks are never locked. When Pro ends, sync pauses and each device keeps everything it has. Planning, reminders and export to JSON and CSV keep working, for free.

Your content

What you write in Billine is yours. We don't claim any rights to it, and we can't see it: it lives on your devices and, with Pro, in your iCloud account. Because we hold no copy, we can't restore it for you. Keep backups with Settings › Your data › Export, and keep iCloud sync on if you rely on it.

Apple's services

Sync uses iCloud, purchases use the App Store, and Siri, Shortcuts, Spotlight, Calendar and Reminders are Apple's. Apple provides those under its own terms, and we're not responsible for their availability or for how Apple runs them.

Fair use

Don't misuse Billine or billine.io: don't try to break their security, interfere with them for other people, or use them for anything unlawful. Reverse engineering is not allowed except where the law permits it regardless of these terms.

Changes to Billine

We improve Billine all the time, so features may change. If we ever remove something you pay for with Billine Pro, we'll tell you in advance, and JSON and CSV export will always stay free.

No warranty

We work hard to make Billine reliable, but it's provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties beyond those in the Standard EULA, including that Billine will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for Billine Pro in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the federal laws of Mexico, and disputes go to the competent courts of Hermosillo, Sonora, without giving up the protection of the consumer laws of the country where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for changes that matter, tell you before they take effect. If you keep using Billine after that, the new terms apply.
