Open Settings › Your data › Import (on iPad and Mac, File › Import… or ⌘⇧I), then choose the app you’re coming from.
Todoist
- In Todoist, open Settings › Backups, on the web or in the desktop app, and download a backup. It’s a ZIP.
- In Billine, choose Todoist backup and pick the ZIP exactly as Todoist downloaded it (or the CSV files inside it).
- Check the preview, and tap Import.
Each Todoist project comes in as a project. Due dates are read in the language they were typed in; anything Billine can’t read is kept in the task’s notes as “Due in Todoist: …”. Todoist leaves completed tasks out of its backups, so they don’t come along.
Things on a Mac
- In Billine, choose Things.
- In the Open panel, press ⇧⌘G and go to
~/Library/Group Containers/JLMPQHK86H.com.culturedcode.ThingsMac. - Inside ThingsData, choose Things Database.thingsdatabase.
Things on iPhone or iPad
- In Things, open Settings › General › Diagnostics › Enter Code, type
491348, and send the database to Files. - In Billine, choose Things and pick Things Database.aar.
A repeating task from Things comes in once, with a note asking you to set how it repeats again in Billine.
Safe to try
Importing only adds: what’s already in Billine stays as it is, and importing the same file twice adds nothing the second time. Undo Import in the message at the bottom, or ⌘Z, removes exactly what was added.
